that may be life changing. Your answer
is "GRACE LUTHERAN CHURCH AND SCHOOLS "MEIV'S
GROUP".
Grace
"Men's Group" is a group of men
associated with Grace Lutheran Church
and Schools (church membership not
required) who have the desire to learn
more about our journey with Our Lord and
Savior Jesus Christ. We meet once a week
on Saturday mornings from 7:00 AM to
8:00 AM, in the multi-purpose room for
an open experience in getting to know
Jesus. "Yes, we have coffee and donuts
and you'll be out at 8:00AM". The rest
of the day is yours! There is absolutely
no pressure on any attendee to become
any more involved then one would feel
comfortable with.
As a
group of men, we get involved with many
activities (on a volunteer basis only);
like service, community and mission
projects, and supporting youth and
family events. Most importantly we are
there for each other and our families.
Our ages range' from early adulthood to
whatever. Yes we even have a few older
and wiser owls mixed in with the young
eagles!
Our
highlight of the year is our "MEN'S
ANNUAL RETREAT" which is approaching.
Mark your calendars for April 25-27,
2008. It will be held at Lake Perris
Campgrounds. We begin gathering at the
campground on Friday afternoon and early
evening to set up
tents,
lean-tos and boxes and etc. Yes, for us
smarter ones, rooms are available at the
Holiday Inn, in Perris. Golfing
available earlier in the day! We enjoy a
casual Friday night food fest and enjoy
a fireside bible study... On Saturday,
you awake to the smell of coffee and
food and there will be many different
activities that one can participate in:
hiking, bike-riding, boating, walking,
fishing, golfing, car racing, reading,
visiting, and power napping and eating
to name just a few. We cap the day with
a barbeque and Campfire Gathering led by
our Pastors. Then the late owls stay up
and talk most of the night about (I
don't know what, for I'm already in
bed). On Sunday you awake to the smell
of the BEST outdoor brewed coffee and
breakfast prepared by the young eagles.
We then close with our outdoor campfire
Sunday morning service led by Pastor
Patrick Miller and you're on your way
home about 10:OO AM. Cost: a mere $35.00
for the weekend. Pastor Patrick is
bringing his dad and has challenged all
of us to bring a friend. Men, this is an
awesome opportunity to invite your dad,
older son, son-in-law, brother-in-law,
or just a good friend to the retreat,
for the weekend.

available in Church and School offices,
church services or from any Men's Group
representative.
